“Everyone's journey is relative to the traveler. Find happiness on your own route."
-Stephanie Anyakwo LMFT., BCBA
Los Angeles native Stephanie Anyakwo received her undergraduate degree at Loyola Marymount University, majoring in Psychology and African American Studies. She continued her education at Azusa Pacific University where she received her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy. Additionally, she studied Applied Behavior Analysis at Florida Institute of Technology, becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2014 and became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in 2016.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Board Certified Behavior Analysts, Stephanie combines her 12- years of experience in ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) with her practice of Psychotherapy. This fusion brings a unique style to assisting adults, children, and families with achieving their goals, while creating a space for individuals to feel secure and connect with self.
Throughout her career, she has provided therapy to clients within various communities and settings, including: school districts, behavioral companies, and private practice. Stephanie’s role is not to push her own agenda; conversely, she works collaboratively with all clients to set goals, provide evidenced-based and mindful strategies to help achieve these goals, and engages in positive reinforcement throughout the journey.
Society may foster this belief that seeking help is a sign of weakness. Stephanie believes that the strongest thing any human being can do, is to connect with another person in order to heal, grow, and remain balanced.
